Crafting Time! Nail Polish & Dollar Tree Style

Two of my most favorite things in the world are Nail Polish and cute things from the Dollar Tree.  I decided that I needed a new way to display and organize my nail polish and nail care stuff so I got crafty and came up with this idea using both of my favorite things.

I started out with these items from the Dollar Tree.

Then I used this spray paint to add two coats of periwinkle colored paint to all of the items.

Then I used super glue, also from the Dollar Tree, to glue them all together.  One bird was glued on top of a candle jar lid and the other items were glued into a two-tiered tray display.

I then used this nail polish to "age" the pieces and give them a nice glimmer.

Here are some pictures of the final look and how I am using my new display pieces.

I absolutely adore the end product!  You could do the same thing with different shaped plates or trays,  any cute little figurine, and in a paint color that fits your decor.  You could display and store almost anything on them too like jewelry, perfume, or makeup.  I hope you give it a try.  You can watch the full video tutorial below as well.
