Montagne Jeunesse Face Masques

I recently received this Fruit Smoothie face masque from Montagne Jeunesse in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012.  I have tried one of their mask before and liked it so I was glad to try another one.  This one is in Crushed Raspberry and is said to be a deep pore cleansing mask.  I followed the directions on the package and washed my face before applying the mask.

This picture shows the instructions that are on the back of the package up close as well as what the product inside looks like.  It is a thick, smooth product that smells both fruity and creamy.  The scent was very nice and not too over powering, which I was glad about because sometimes masks can be too strong for my liking.  This is what my face looked like prior to applying the masque as well.

The above pic shows the mask on my face right after I put it on (left) and then after 15 min. (right).  So the mask felt very thick, creamy and clay-like as I put it on my face.  It had an immediate cooling effect on my skin.  After my face was covered there was still plenty of product left in the pouch.  It seems like you could almost get 2 applications out of it if you had a friend to share it with.

Here is another shot of the before and after 15min. with the product on my face.  After about 8 min. it started to dry and began to feel tight.  It tried to take a bite of food while I waited and it was very difficult to open my mouth wide enough.  So my advice is to just lay back and relax and save your snacks for when you are done.  Anyway...after 15 minutes I rinsed the product off using a wash cloth and warm water. After I patted my face dry it looked brighter and felt really soft.  It also looked a lot less greasy as you can see in the before and after photos of my forehead below.  I was worried that my face would feel tight or dry afterwards but it didn't.  I didn't need to put my moisturizer on at all.

I think masques like this are a fun beauty treat to use now and then as a pick me up.  It is a great, affordable way to feel pampered and give your skin a little extra love.  These are only a few dollars each and there are many different "flavors" to try.  Find all of them here http://www.montagnejeunesse.com/

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

My lips have never been so shiny!

I have been using my NYC Liquid Lipshines for several months now and I really like them.  I recently received one in the color Nude York City in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012.  Prior to the VoxBox I had already owned 2 of these super shiny, sparkly glosses from New York Color.  Needless to say I am a huge fan!
You can see what the packing looks like below.  They have a sleek oval shaped tube and a long, flexible sponge tip applicator.  The shape of the applicator is very unique and glides over my lips easily.

Swatches of the 2 colors I own are pictured above on my hand and below on my lips.  Nude York City and Brighton Beach Peach are two of their very light, nude colors in the line.  They have a varity of other colors to chose from in the Liquid Lipshine line.  I purchased mine at KMart for about $2.49.

One of my favoirte ways to wear this gloss is over a dark lipstick as pictured below.  It adds amazing depth and shine to any lipstick color.  It also works great to tone down a color that might be too dark for you.

One of the things that I also enjoy about this product is the yummy smell.  It has a scrumptiously sweet scent that is so comforting to smell.  It is like cookies and coconut and all things yummy in a tube and on your lips.
I really enjoy these glosses from NYC and I hope that you get a chance to try them. Just look at the sparkles and shimmer in the picture below.  Go get you some!

What's In My Purse?

Well this entry is a perfect start to the New Year because I got to clean out and organize my purse while I filmed this video.  Please watch if you want to see what I have in my purse.  Especially if you are interested to see my insane lip collection that I keep in there.  I admit in advance to needing serious intervention for my addiction.  So let's get on with it...

What do you have in your purse?  I would love to know.  Happy New Year!
